Two Finishes

 Two finishes this month: Oscar & Zoe were two beautiful parakeet birds I gifted by daughter when she was 5. Sadly, they passed away and I wanted to stitch them for her. I used the free cross stitch chart by DMC called Budgie and used my PC Stitch program to re-chart it.

This was stitched on 16ct Aida (Crystal Whirlpool color) I purchased on 123stitch.com and used DMC colors: 838, 3823, 906, 904, 907, 169, 3810, 307, 597, 3811.

I also finished this chart by Janlynn called Graduation Dreams. It was a kit so I used all of the materials that came with it including the 14ct Aida.

New Birthday Starts

 2 starts on my birthday: Footprints by Sandy Orton but I got the Bucilla Kit which includes 28ct evenweave fabric and DMC floss. The kit can also be found at the Kooler Design website

Fall Stitching

 

First day of fall was on September 22nd this year. So I started this piece featured on the Cross Stitcher magazine September 2020. 

Fall into Autumn by Cheryl McKinnon

I’m stitching this on 28 ct Britney fabric in color Haboob by Chromatic Alchemy (although I’m pretty sure it’s 32 ct because the stitches looks smaller to me)

I’m using all DMC floss but I’ve made a few substitutions for another color simply because I did not have them in my stash:

437 – 436
720 – 900
721 – 947
722 – 402
945 – 739
3346 – 987
3820 – 728
