So I got my first dose of the COVID vaccine last Friday and already have an appointment for next month to get the second one. One less thing to do on my list.

I’m Back!
Hello friends!
I’m back! There has been some challenges that kept me away from blogging; including health issues and personal life changes. But now, I’m back and wanting to keep sharing my craft with you all.
So we are at the half way point of 2019 and I think is a good time to resume my writings on this wall and post pictures of my stitching. I’ve had a few finishes this year, put on time out a few projects, and reassess my active WIPs. I will add a separate posts on those.
I’m also working on something new; I have to say I’m scare to death about it but a friend told me I must do it. I’ll give you more details about that soon. In the meantime, I will continue my blogging just to get back into the swing of things.
Another plan of mine is to create a blog in Spanish. I belong to a Spanish cross stitch group in Facebook called Tiempo Entre Cruces and I believe I have some followers in my Facebook Page so I want to add content for my Spanish speaking cross stitch community.
I have to say, I’m happy and excited to be back and I hope you continue to come back to read and see what I’m up to.
Till next time!
Kass

Know your Needleworker Tag
So I’ve been watching a lot of flosstubes lately and I’ve seen many of them with a “know your needleworker tag”. I’ve also visited many stitching bloggers and they are writing it on their blogs instead of recording it in a video. I’ve got to say that I am camera shy so I will be doing this tag here and now.
The questions I got from Amanda’s Stitching Space, Sewing Butterfly, Tricia – The Left-Hand Stitcher’s Realm of Randomness, and Young and Stitching.
Let’s get on the questions and answers:
1. Where do you live?
I currently live in New York.
2. What do you do for a living?
I am a school administrator at the moment.
3. What are your other hobbies other than cross stitching?
Besides cross stitching, I love making jewelry and writing. I would love to learn how to crochet and scrapbooking.
4. Do you have any kids?
Yes. I have a beautiful 15 year old daughter.
5. Do you have any pets? If so, what are their names?
I do have a cat. Her name is Manchis. I would love to have a dog; a teacup sized dog.
6. What is your favorite movie?
I have many. Dirty dancing, Armageddon, and Independence Day just to name a few.
7. What is your favorite TV Show?
Again, I have many. Friends, Two Broke Girls, Once Upon a Time, Castle… I can keep going.
8. What is your favorite music?
I love contemporary christian music.
9. What is your favorite book?
I love reading romantic fiction books. Including paranormal romance.
10. What is the 1 word that best describe you?
One word would be quiet.
11. What is your favorite food?
Food: italian. Snacks: cookies. Beverage: hot: coffee; cold: lemonade
12 Who inspired you to start this blog?
I’ve been visiting a lot of stitcher’s blog. I can’t write exactly who because they are so many. But I think the majority of my fellow stitchers are enablers.
13. Why didn’t you start a flosstube channel instead?
Well, I mentioned earlier that I am camera shy. Who knows, maybe later on I will gather up the courage and start one. In the meantime, I will write everything. I love writing anyways.
14. What made start to cross stitch?
Fifteen years ago, I was shopping at my local Walmart and saw this cute little cross stitch pattern which ended up to be a birth announcement. At that time, I was pregnant with my daughter. I bought it, started stitching it and never looked back.
15. What is your first piece you cross stitched?
It was a birth announcement which I stitched for my daughter.
16. How did you get your “aka” name?
Well, I’m latina. Originally from the Dominican Republic. I came to the U.S. when I was 13. I was trying to look for a name that would identify me; as a latina and as a stitcher. And so, latinstitcher was born.
Fun questions. Happy to answer them. As always, thanks for reading and happy stitching!

Hello World! I’m Back!
So I’m back after 13 years of not even touching my cross stitch supplies. I’ve been looking at magazines, pictures, and some posts from fellow stitchers with their amazing work. But my mojo was nonexistent.
In the past month, I’ve been stitching a little here and there. Finally, after discovering and watching flosstubes at YouTube, I gotta say that I want to stitch all day! The only bad thing about it is that I don’t have my stash anymore. I’ll have to start buying stuff. However, even with this predicament there, I have a total of 5 WIPs going on. I also have a few projects lined up but they’re all not all that big of a project. Just something to get me started. I definitely want to try SALs, challenges from Facebook groups, and more bigger projects with different fabrics and threads.
Let’s see how it goes.
